Hole #2

The second hole demonstrates McCumber's flair for creating differing challenges dependent on tee position. The hole is straight and at 319 yards not especially long, but from the back tees the golfer must position his drive straight down a narrow chute which opens onto a wide fairway. The white tees present a different challenge with water running all the way down the right waiting for a pushed or badly faded drive.

The green is protected by one large bunker in front, but a steep bank at the back stops a shot hit too strong. However, a chip downhill from this position onto a green sloping away, presents its own interesting challenges.
